God Rejoices Over Us (Part 10)

"The Lord your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

Zep 3:17

God dwells with us. He is in our midst. He's there to help us, and to be our companion and leader all through life. He'll never forsake us. Not only does He do all us this for us, but also, He enjoys it. He exalts over us with joy. He loves us. He shouts and rejoices over us. He gives us good things generously, and is happy to do it. He loves having a relationship with us.

Do we love our relationship with Him? Do the things we do please Him?

Lord, I thank You for the pursuing a relationship with me. Thank You for loving me even when I don't return that love. Thank You for dwelling with me. Thank You for rejoicing over me. I want to always bring You joy by my life. Help me to put my relationship with You before anything else so that You can always rejoice over me with shouts of joy.

God's love for us stands in strong contrast to human love. We falter and fail. God's love endures. Our love wanes. God's love never fails. As we accept God's love and spend more time with Him, our love can become more like his. We can love unconditionally. We love when people do not return our love. We can love the unlovely

Lord, thank You for your amazing love. Help me to love like You do. Help me to be a picture of Your love to other people around me.

God Loves Us and Wants to Dwell with Us (Part 8)

My dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

Ezk 37:27

God loves us more than we can imagine. He wants to spend time with us. He wants to live with us. He wants a relationship with us. Isn't it incredible that the God of the universe wants to have a relationship with us! We should feel very privileged and thankful.

God, I thank You that You live within me. I thank You that you've reached out to have a relationship with me, a sinner. I want to grow in my relationship with You. Help me to grow in my friendship with You continually.

Remembering God's Love at Easter (Part 7)

At this Easter time of year, I'm especially reminded of God's love. What kind of love did God have for us that He would send His Son to die for us? He would sacrifice himself so that we could live. He died an unimaginably horrible death so that we could live.

Yet, He didn't stay in the tomb. He was too powerful for that! He displayed His amazing power over death. Now, that same power gives us victory over sin. What a wonderful way to live with God's amazing power at our disposal.

Thank You God, for dying for us. Thank You for showing Your power over death. Thank You that we can have this power living within us.
